Three Acousto-Optic Spectrometers are installed presently
at SEST: Two Low Resolution (wide band, LR1 and LR2) and one High Resolution
(narrow band, HRS).

Here we show some of the performance tests done regularly with the spectrometers.
The plots (HRS, LR1, LR2) show two parameters: Resolution and Efficiency.
Resolution is the difference in intensity between a channel and the two adjacent ones.
Efficiency is the power needed to saturate a channel of the spectrometer.
The two types of measurements described above define the actual performance of the instrument, as well as its change over time, thus allowing the prediction of failures.
